Omega Elkraft owns the product RSB® (Round Steel Bar) pylons. RSB® is a registered trade mark.
RSB pylons have a range of uses in connection with power lines and sub-stations, lighting, antenna masts, refuse nets, and wind speed measurement. As well as the pylons themselves, we have substantial experience of laying foundations in all types of ground.
The RSB® system consists of sections of high tensile steel (fy=500 MPa) welded together, which can be easily assembled into complete pylons on site. Assembly does not require any specialist tools. It is a simple matter to erect the pylons on site with the aid of a helicopter or crane.
The RSB® sections are made by Brødrene Berntsen AS in Hensmoen near Hønefoss in Western Norway using production drawings and specifications supplied by Omega Elkraft. A wide range of standard sections is available and Omega Elkraft can also develop bespoke sections to suit the client’s needs.
Omega Elkraft has staff with substantial experience in all types of estimation and specification of pylons and foundations and we are happy to work closely with the client.
We deliver supporting documentation for enquiries and purchases of pylon materials based on the client’s specifications, as well as “as built” documentation upon completion of the project.
We offer excellent, tried and tested solutions for concrete foundations in all types of ground and also extremely time- and cost-effective steel foundations which can be dug into loose ground.
